Fukuoka Daimyo UIJ turn support base “dot.”

ロゴ:dot.(SP)

"In order to promote UIJ turns from Fukuoka Prefecture, which is the most popular destination for high school graduates from Oita prefecture to go on to study outside the prefecture, we opened the UIJ turn base facility ""dot."" in Daimyo, Fukuoka City in June 2020 to support matching of students living in Fukuoka with companies in the prefecture.
The facility has a cafe, Wi-Fi, charging equipment, and company information search terminals.

Taking advantage of our location near Tenjin Nishi-dori, which is known as the area where most young people gather in Kyushu, we regularly hold events related to recruitment and employment, as well as providing career counseling and job introductions for students.
We have set up a membership system for companies within the prefecture, and provide benefits for recruitment support depending on the plan (platinum, gold, silver) to help secure human resources from outside the prefecture."

Human resource development through Oita Prefectural Engineering College

Oita Prefectural Junior College of Engineering trains human resources who can work immediately. We aim to develop human resources who possess not only ""technical capabilities"" such as specialized techniques and skills, but also ""human capabilities"" such as communication skills, independence, and problem-solving abilities. By honing these ""technical skills"" and ""human skills,"" we will become human resources who can play an active role in society and in the field of manufacturing.

In general, universities and other institutions focus on acquiring specialized knowledge and research. At our school, you will not only acquire specialized knowledge, but also acquire the techniques and skills necessary for manufacturing, and learn how to put those knowledge and techniques to use.

写真:Human resource development through Oita Prefectural Engineering College
A rich and dense curriculum

Practical skills and practical training make up about 60% of the curriculum, and students not only learn knowledge and techniques, but also understand and acquire how to use the learned knowledge and techniques in actual manufacturing, so they can acquire practical knowledge and techniques.

Small class organization to develop individual abilities

The number of students per teacher is 6.7, which is a "small class composition", so we are able to provide detailed support not only for academic matters, but also for school life, career paths, employment guidance, etc.
In addition, by collaborating with local companies, you can receive direct guidance from the company's engineers and learn practical techniques and skills.

Classes specific to specialized fields

In the first year, students learn and master the basics of each specialty, but in the second year, they are divided into different courses.
Mechanical systems are divided into the ``Digital Engineer Course'' and ``Mold Engineer Course,'' electrical/electronic systems are divided into the ``Electrical Control Engineer Course'' and ``Electronic Information Engineer Course,'' and architectural systems are divided into the ``Planner Course'' and ``Construction Management Engineer Course.'' Students learn more deeply about the knowledge and skills they will need after finding employment.
